【CAUTION】Never feed them.

Ezo Red fox were seen around the road that leads to Asahidake Onsen (near the Chubetsu River and Lake Chubetsu).

We have witnessed tourists feeding them many times.

Never feed them absolutely.

Once they are fed, they approach people and cars without fear.

When they eat human food to satisfy their hunger, they can not digest it and keep having diarrhea.

Then they stop eating food from the forest and come closer and closer again.

They are parasitized by larvae called echinococcus, which can be deadly if it infects humans.

You should know that there are many risks involved in approaching animals.

We do not want to see any more Ezo red fox hit by cars and killed.
