The ropeway service will be suspended for scheduled maintenance from May 14th to May 22th, 2026.

Restaurants and shops will also be closed. Attempting to go to Upper Station without proper gear puts you at risk of getting lost and dying from hypothermia. The trails and paths are covered in snow and cannot be seen!!

It is dangerous not to have winter gear, GPS apps, batteries, a cell phone that can call for emergency services, and first aid equipment to protect you and your loved ones’ lives.

It is far too dangerous to venture into the mountains without anti-slip gear such as Ice axes, Chain spikes, crampons, or 12-point crampons. The linked sites list the minimum required gear, so please refer to them.
