Information from the 6th station to the summit

10/8 Near the summit of Mt. Asahidake and Jigoku-dani(Hell Valley) became white.

The rope is still stretched up to the 6th station, but please be careful not to get lost as it is almost time to collect it.

The appearance of ice and snow attached by strong winds is like the tail of a shrimp.

As you approach the summit, the tail of the shrimp is gradually growing.

The left side of the photo is a steep slope leading to Jigoku-dani(Hell Valley), so please be careful of strong winds.

Past the 9th station , it’s a Nise Kinko-iwa(False Vault Rock).

When going down, it is easy to get lost and you may go to the south slope, so please proceed while looking around.

The summit is completely winter, it is essential to keep from getting cold.

Light crampons are recommended from the 6th station as they become slippery.
