From October onward, temperatures around Mount Asahidake drop below freezing,
and blizzards, dense fog, and poor visibility completely obscure the trails.

Pease be sure to always carry cold-weather gear, a GPS app, and a mobile battery.

【WARNING 3】

Accidents resulting in stranded hikers occur every year.

Unfortunately, these accidents stem from insufficient information, inadequate equipment, lack of experience, and insufficient knowledge.

Daisetsuzan National Park is classified into five types of hiking courses based on the level of danger to life.

Carefully consider your equipment, experience, preparation, and physical fitness, and choose a mountain climb appropriate for your level. Reckless climbing or planning increases the risk of frostbite, getting lost, falling, and hypothermia.

Winter mountaineering requires specialized equipment such as ice axes, crampons, avalanche transceiver,  and snowshoes, as well as significant experience to navigate these demanding environments.
