The walking trails from Sugatami(Upper) Station to the various observation decks are currently obscured by remaining snow.
You will need to walk on snow, and since shoes that get wet easily or athletic shoes will get dirty quickly, we recommend wearing rubber boots.
In some areas, there is a risk of sinking through the snow. If you do not have the appropriate gear, we recommend staying close to the upper station.
Small alpine flowers are beginning to bloom near the 2nd and 3rd observation decks.

The water surface of Meoto-ike Ponds are starting to become visible.
However, to reach the 4th Observation Deck, you must walk up snow-covered stairs and along a muddy trails.
The snow ground is slippery and dangerous.
The signs are obscured by remaining snow. Since the trails are not visible, there is a risk of getting lost in thick fog or bad weather.
Depending on the hiking trails or walking paths, you may need snow mountain gear.
If you do not have the necessary gear, please stay within walking distance of the upper station.
Going mountains without a GPS app or a map is tantamount to accepting that you’ll get lost.
Don’t forget that the signal in the mountains can be unreliable.
In thick fog, you can’t even see the signs. It’s like swimming in a sea of fog.
