As the hiking season approaches, here are some important points to keep in mind for a safe and enjoyable hike up Asahidake.
The mountain offers breathtaking views and a memorable experience, but it also presents challenges and risks.
1.Weather Change
Weather in the mountains in Asahidake can be unpredictable.
Be prepared for sudden rain, fog, and temperature changes.
Check the weather forecast before you start, and be ready for changes during your hike.
2.Check the Trail Conditions
Trails can become muddy and slippery due to rain.
Wear hiking boots with good grip and use trekking poles for added stability.
Also, watch out for landslides and eroded paths.

3.Encounters with Wild Animals
Brown bears live in the Daisetsuzan National park.
Make sure to make noise with a bear bell or something similar to avoid startling them,
and bring bear spray just in case.。

4.Avoid Rapid, Non-stop Hikes
Avoid rapid, non-stop hikes. Overly aggressive schedules and paces can lead to exhaustion and increase the risk of accidents and injuries.

Carry a detailed map, a compass, and a fully charged mobile phone.
Inform someone of your hiking plan and expected return time.
